Shomrei Torah Synagogue has 500+ member families from West Hills, Woodland Hills, Calabasas and the greater West Valley region. Our families are diverse: couples, single adults with or without children, interfaith, "empty nesters," seniors and more. There is a place for everyone here at STS.

One of the hallmarks of STS is that we are a haimish community, warm and inviting. Our congregants have strong connections, both to each other and to the Jewish community as a whole. This is a community where the rabbis and staff will know your name, know your family and check in with you to see if your needs are being met. We believe that each member has a gift to be brought to our community, and a gift to share with each other.

Shomrei Torah is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that fosters Jewish spiritual and intellectual exploration. We encourage each individual to engage in a personal journey of Jewish growth and enhanced meaning.

• We offer discounted introductory dues rates for up to two years of membership for new members with young children.
• Cost should not be an obstacle to membership. We are committed to the principle that financial challenges should not be a barrier to membership. If ability to pay is a concern, the Executive Director would be happy to meet with you to discuss special arrangements. All special arrangements are made in the strictest confidence.
• We offer special programs during the year to welcome our newest members, help integrate them into the life of our community and introduce them to our rabbis and leadership.
• Membership is required for children to be enrolled in our Early Childhood Education Center and our Religious School.
• Receipt of High Holiday tickets, a monthly newsletter and weekly email communication are additional benefits of membership.
