Team Madrichim

Mission

Team Madrichim seeks to create a new generation of leaders in the STS community by providing leadership training as well as opportunities to utilize the training through hands on experiences. Participants of LDI will learn techniques to grow their leadership and will be able to use their skills in future experiences.

 

Goals

  • Enhance the leadership skills of participants
  • Create a generation of leaders who will add to the STS Community
  • Provide quality Religious School programming for STS including but not limited to Shabbtonim, STAR, and in the Religious School classroom, as well as other opportunities that may arise

 

Participants

Team Madrichim offers leadership training to 8-12 grade Shomrei Torah members. Participants must apply to the program and will be chosen based on the following qualifications:

  • A qualified participant will be able to work well in teams and listen to direction
  • A qualified participant has the time to dedicate to the requirements of the program
  • A qualified participant is dedicated to learning and strengthening his/her leadership
  • A qualified participant is someone who is devoted to the Shomrei Torah community and wishes to add his/her talents to the betterment of the program and the Synagogue
  • A qualified participant is committed to acting as a dugma

 

Requirements

  • Must attend the Team Madrichim orientation
  • Must attend a monthly leadership training session
  • Must attend all meetings related to program of choice (i.e. Shabbaton planning meetings)
  • If applicable must fully participate with an active role in planning Shabbatonim and STAR programs
  • Must work well with the Education Center staff, students and other Madrichim
  • Must maintain role as a leader in the community
