Event description:

Join Rabbinic Intern Hannah Estrin for the second of two evenings focused on repentance and forgiveness in anticipation of the High Holy Days. This evening's focus is on giving forgiveness and letting go.The famous piyyut (religious poem) Unetanah tokef discusses the opportunity “to avert the severe decree” through: repentance, prayer, and charity. In these two workshops we will concentrate on repentance and forgiveness in anticipation of the High Holidays.

Each session will include a short learning. We will then use the medium of writing to ferret out some of the truths we hide from ourselves and others in an attempt to begin our journey of repentance and forgiveness. We will work individually and together, sharing as is comfortable, to look deeply and honestly at ourselves as we move toward the communal confessions of Yom Kippur.

The first session of this program is on Thursday, Sept. 5. RSVP here.
